Elizabeth Lashway

Liz founded Lashway Law in 2019 following a four-year term serving as a Commissioner of the Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission (ABCC).  Prior to working for the ABCC, Liz spent nearly a decade as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Cambridge.  Currently, Liz serves as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Peabody.

Liz is active in the Boston Bar Association’s Solo and Small Firm Steering Committee. She was appointed as a Hearing Officer for the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers in 2018 and in 2021 for three-year terms each. Previously, she served as an elected Wellesley Town Meeting Member. In her free time, Liz also co-chaired Schofield Cares and co-founded Wellesley Cares, both of which support families in need. Liz lives in Wellesley with her husband and two children. She enjoys running (2002, 2008 Boston Marathons; numerous half marathons and road races), hiking, and watching her kids’ numerous soccer and hockey games and rowing and cross country races.
