Elizabeth Lashway

Liz founded Lashway Law in 2019 following a four-year term serving as a Commissioner of the Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission (ABCC).  Prior to working for the ABCC, Liz spent nearly a decade as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Cambridge.  Currently, Liz serves as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Peabody.

Liz is co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Solo and Small Firm Steering Committee. She was appointed as a Hearing Officer for the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers in 2018 and in 2021 for three-year terms each. Previously, she served as an elected Wellesley Town Meeting Member. Liz also co-chaired Schofield Cares and co-founded Wellesley Cares, both of which support families of Wellesley students in need. Liz lives in Wellesley with her husband and two children. She enjoys running (2002, 2008 Boston Marathons; numerous half marathons and road races), hiking, and watching her kids’ numerous soccer and hockey games.
